Drivers in southern Wyoming who are in a hurry to get somewhere headed into the final weekend of June my face travel delays across southeast Wyoming.

Road crews are placing epoxy striping in various locations around the district starting this week, weather permitting.

Epoxy striping is more durable than traditional striping, especially in high-traffic areas.

The highway work will occur along Interstate 80 in Laramie, Albany, and Carbon Counties, as well as I-25 in the Cheyenne area.

Motorists can expect reduced speed zones and slow-moving striping equipment in the work areas. Motorists are encouraged to obey all traffic control and slow down around work zones. Avoid passing heavy equipment where epoxy is still wet, as it can be hard to remove if it gets on a vehicle. Cones will be in place to help indicate where epoxy may still be wet.

Stay alert for work zones along your travels and plan to give yourself a little extra time to reach your destination.
