The single bid submitted for the downtown splash pad was a belly flop.

The only company interested in the design, construction and installation of the water playground at Depot Park came in $500,000 over budget.

Rawlins City staff is expected to ask council to reject the bid at tonight’s meeting. Cali O’Hare has more.
