In an update to a story Bigfoot 99 has been following, a motion to grant a temporary special use permit to Sunnyside Liquors failed due to a tie vote at last week’s meeting. The issue, however, is far from over. That vote was voided earlier this week because the City of Rawlins did not provide the Shepards, who own Liquor License #99, personal, written notification prior to the June 15th meeting. Instead, city officials spoke with the Shepards and their legal counsel by phone. Cali O’Hare has the latest in this ongoing story.
