Rawlins subdivision amendment passes second reading

A proposed amendment to a portion of the Rawlins municipal code related to subdivisions passed the second of three readings before the City Council last week.

Once again, the governing body heard from a local developer who is concerned the changes may deter future development. Cali O’Hare has the latest.

Saratoga man pleads not guilty to drug charges

A Saratoga resident who was convicted of a felony in 2016 for a violent domestic disturbance is being held at the Carbon County Jail on methamphetamine charges today.

Ryan Simmons pleaded not guilty to four felony drug offense in District Court on Monday. Emma Diercks reports.

 

 

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week observed in Carbon County

Every April, the U.S. Department of Justice leads communities across the country in the annual observances of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

Here in Carbon County, two law enforcement agencies are hoping to raise awareness about crime on a local level in observation of the national event. Cali O’Hare reports.

 

 

Public workshop will review water rates proposal this week

The Saratoga Carbon County Impact Joint Powers Board will hold a public workshop on Wednesday to review a proposal to set base water rates by meter size. Currently, rates are set by whether the service is for residential or commercial use. Emma Diercks has the details.
