California man killed in I-80 rollover

A 60-year-old Apple Valley, California man died Saturday morning when a pickup he was riding went into a slide and rolled-over on Interstate 80 near Wamsutter.

Henry House III was wearing his seatbelt, but succumbed to injuries he sustained at the scene of the crash, marking the second highway fatality in Wyoming this year.

The driver of the vehicle, a Ford F150, has been identified as 55-year-old Yerma, California woman Brenda K. Wallace. Wallace was wearing her seatbelt and survived the crash. The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports it is investigating speed too fast for conditions as a possible contributing factor.

The single vehicle rollover occurred around 11 a.m. An emergency responder out of Wamsutter, Michael Wilder, suffered a fatal heart attack at the scene.
