Fishing derby draws crowd despite road closures
Although Interstate 80 was closed much of Friday and Saturday, this year’s Saratoga Ice Fishing derby reeled in more anglers than in 2019.

Crews battle broken water mains
In Rawlins, city crews were on the ice, too. They were fishing for broken water mains.
Battling high winds, snow and bitter cold temperatures, two separate crews worked under the lights into the early morning hours Saturday to repair breaks and restore water to residents. Cali O’Hare reports.
Healthcare committee gives status update
In Saratoga, the Platte Valley Healthcare Committee continues to make progress on its proposed critical access hospital. While the group still waits for federal non-profit status, committee members continue to meet with other entities to move the project forward. Emma Diercks has the story.
Snow blower arrives in Rawlins
In Rawlins, the Kodiak has landed. Residents and city workers alike are celebrating the arrival of a commercial snow blower that promises to make easy work of clearing snowbound streets. The big machine was put to work on Friday shortly after it arrived. Cali O’Hare has more.
