Deer culling work session slated for tonight

In Rawlins: a work session is being held tonight with city council, the police chief and Urban Deer Advisory Group discussing the impending implementation of the Chapter 56 permit.

They will discuss how and when to begin reducing the number of deer in town that many feel have become a nuisance and a public safety hazard. Cali O’Hare has more

Full agenda in store for Saratoga Town Council meeting

In Saratoga, the agenda for tonight’s town council meeting is back to its regular format after the abbreviated session two weeks ago.

Emma Diercks reports that those who attend can expect department reports and action on several items.

Further improvements suggested for underpass

In Rawlins, the recent repairs to the Washington Street underpass did not go unnoticed. A longtime Rawlins resident thanked staff recently on for the work they’ve done so far.

Leigh Nation also offered a suggestion for other improvements. Cali O’Hare reports.

Wyoming highway fatalities spur legislative moves

So far this year, 128 people have died on Wyoming’s highways. The fatality rate is unusually high.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation hopes lawmakers will consider legislation that would increase penalties for the leading cause of deadly crashes, speeding and distracted driving. Emma Diercks reports.
