A red flag warning and stage 1 fire restrictions remain in place for Carbon County, as wildfires burn near Rawlins and Elk Mountain. The Bradley Fire, north of Rawlins, began Friday afternoon.

A smaller fire on the southwest side of Elk Mountain was reported Saturday. Both wildland fires continue to burn this morning. Cali O’Hare reports.

In an update Monday morning, officials say the Bradley Fire grew only 100 acres on Sunday. Firefighters kept the line intact on the northern section of the Long Creek Drainage as it tried to burn towards Tin Cup and Little Long Creeks. The 1,700-acre fire is 10 percent contained.
