The Albany County Sheriff’s Office reported finding a dead body near Mirror Lake on Thursday evening, July 4th.
The area around the lake was closed to visitors on Friday while investigators conducted their work.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Department reported Friday that there is no immediate threat to the public.
“There is no confirmed information about the deceased, and they remain unidentified currently,” a sheriff’s department Faceobook post reported. “Cause and manner of death is currently being investigated.”
The investigation is being conducted by the Sheriff’s Office with help from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Crime Scene Unit.
