A Tesla charging station in Rock Springs was recently targeted by vandals with spray paint.
On Saturday, the Rock Springs Police Department received a call about vandalism to the Tesla charging stations at the White Mountain Mall, 2441 Foothill Blvd. When officers arrived on scene, they observed four of the charging stations had swastikas spray-painted on them.
Officers believe the charging stations were vandalized between the late night hours on Friday and early Saturday morning.
According to the Rock Springs Police Department, the damage is likely related to the nationwide vandalism targeted at Tesla related to company founder Elon Musk’s involvement with the federal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Officers are collecting surveillance video from nearby businesses as part of the ongoing investigation.
