Can a single sentence in a report produce an unintended consequence? At the last Saratoga Water and Sewer Board meeting, the contracted auditor, BDO, LLP, asked the board if a disclaimer should be included in the audit stating the Water and Sewer Enterprise Fund were used to subsidize Saratoga’s General Fund. A vote on the question split the board. Emma Diercks has the story.
