Councilman gives more details on Platte Valley healthcare

Health Management Services, LLC is slated to take over the Platte Valley Medical Clinic and Saratoga Care Center next year.

A week has passed since the Saratoga Town Council announced their intention to have Health Management Services combine the operations of the Saratoga Care Center and the Platte Valley Medical Clinic. With this consolidation came the termination of Dr. Bryan Kaiser’s lease when it expires at the end of the year. Meanwhile, HMS has discussed a long term plan for launching a critical access hospital here. While many residents are concerned with how the governing body got to their decision through private meetings, Councilman Will Faust explained his work on the issue and the immediate goal to unify the nursing home and clinic.
