Commissioners discuss hospital management options

The Carbon County Commissioners tabled a request from the management team at Memorial Hospital yesterday to extend its contract by another three years. While some commissioners are willing to renew the agreement with Quorum Health Resources, others want a change. By tabling the topic, the commission will work with the hospital board of directors to explore other possible options. Emma Diercks has the story.

Rawlins recycling department earns another accolade

The Recycling Department of the City of Rawlins is three-peating as champions of conversion – turning waste into reusable material. For the third year in a row, the department has earned statewide recognition for the success and efficiency of the program. Cali O’Hare has the story.

 

 

CCHEC students to build mobile lab

Students at the Carbon County Higher Education Center will assist in building a mobile lab that will be used as a teaching device in local schools to explain the inner workings of the Sinclair Wyoming Refining plant. The project is being completed through a grant from the Wyoming Department of Education to Carbon County School District 1. Emma Diercks has the story.
