Rawlins officials begin revisions on trash hauler ordinance

In Rawlins, City Council is set to tackle the first of three readings needed to revise vague language in Title 8 municipal that officials used to set different requirements for the city’s two licensed trash haulers.

Saratoga seeks sandbag storage

The Town of Saratoga is looking for a location to store sandbags that were filled a few weeks ago when the National Weather Service forecasts indicated the North Platte River might come out of its banks.

The river reach minor flood stage, but the bags were not deployed. They are still sitting on town property. Emma Diercks reports.

Water improvement projects to begin in Rawlins

Rawlins City Council last week awarded the construction contract for a pending major water improvement project.

The work will start this summer be completed next year. Cali O’Hare reports.

Mom’s Kitchen rezoned ahead of demolition

The Saratoga Town Council has recommended that a defunct restaurant, Mom’s Kitchen, and an adjacent property be rezoned to Highway Business.

Plans include demolishing the buildings to make room for new office space. Emma Diercks reports.
