Forecasts show North Platte unlikely to flood this year

State officials said Tuesday that Saratoga is not in danger of flooding this year.

During a public meeting, Wyoming Office Of Homeland Security members said that current snow pack data and past trends suggest the North Platte River will peak at bankfull around Memorial Day and stay at high water for about 10 days before receding. Emma Diercks has the story.

Rawlins Free Summer Meals program continues to grow

In Rawlins, the Free Summer Meals program continues to expand as it enters its third season.

The program, which provides free meals to all children ages two to 18 years old each summer, launched in 2017. Cali O’Hare reports it is now drawing national attention.

Rawlins woman sentenced in abuse case

A Rawlins woman found guilty of physically abusing her daughter was sentenced Monday to five to eight years in prison. Her husband already is serving time on charges stemming from the same incident. Emma Diercks reports.

Historic trains to stop in Carbon County tomorrow

Big Boy and Living Legend return to Carbon County tomorrow.

The historic Union Pacific steam engines will make stops in Rawlins, Hanna and Medicine Bow as they head back to Cheyenne. Cali O’Hare has the details.
