Prosecutors prepare for trial of Hanna man

Multiple special agents, investigators, forensic examiners, and a police lieutenant are all expected to testify next month in the trial of a Carbon County man facing child porn charges in federal court.

Fire department develops gas leak protocol

The Saratoga Fire Department continues to develop a new protocol on how to respond to gas leaks.

The need for the procedure stems from a leak that occurred in September that resulted in the evacuation of three blocks near the community center. Emma Diercks reports.

Footbridge closed near Saratoga hot pools

Saratoga Public Works Director Jon Winter told Bigfoot 99 that the walking bridge over Spring Creek near the Hobo Hot Pools is closed for repairs. City crews are installing new boards on the wood deck.

Orange cones are in place to warn the public to stay off the bridge. The public works director said the bridge will likely reopen by the weekend, if not sometime Friday.

Rawlins approves tower expansion

A 45-foot communication tower just outside of Rawlins will roughly double in size in the coming months.

Last week, the city and Union Telephone Company struck a deal that will allow for the installation of a co-location communication tower with rental space available for other similar companies. Cali O’Hare reports.

 

 

WGFD releases CWD management report

Chronic Wasting Disease infects ungulates in more than half the state of Wyoming.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department released a report last week on proposals to reduce the prevalence of CWD in the state’s wildlife populations. Emma Diercks reports.
