The COVID head-count at the state penitentiary tripled last week. According to a report from the Department of Corrections released Friday, eight staff members and eight inmates are considered positive for the virus. The total count of 16 is up five from the previous report. According to the DOC, the women’s center in Lusk is dealing with 18 cases, 10 staff and eight inmates. The Medium Correctional Facility in Torrington is reporting six cases, the Honor Farm in Riverton – two, and four at the Wyoming Conservation Camp at Newcastle.
