The fire burning in the Savage Run Wilderness grew was named the Mullen Fire. It grew overnight and is now estimated at 200 acres in size. Emma Diercks has the story.

The south side of the Snowy Range glowed red last night with smoke from the Mullen Fire spilling into the Platte Valley Thursday morning. The fire grew yesterday to 17,763 acres.
More growth is expected today as winds pick up today and tomorrow ahead of an incoming cold front.
