Wyoming is gearing up for the Freedom Convoy that is protesting all that has gone wrong with the nation over the last two years as government overrode individual health decisions.
“Two weeks to flatten the curve” has turned into a two-year slow-motion demolition of the economy and personal liberties. In protest, multiple convoy routes stretch across the nation from the West Coast to one final destination: Washington, D.C. Two of the routes pass through Wyoming, one north and one south. Trucks began rolling yesterday from California, more than 1,000. West coast organizer Brian Brase described the scene as his rig rolled underneath an underpass near the I-40/ I-15 Junction at Barstow. The overpass was packed with supporters holding anti-mandate banners, flying American flags and cheering on the miles-long convoy of trucks and other vehicles.

The California leg of the People’s Convoy is taking a southern route. The Central-Southeast convoy will travel from Dallas to Nashville. Another leg beginning in Spokane, Washington is scheduled to stop and rally in Gillette on the afternoon of March 3rd. Yet another convoy leaving Pendleton, Oregon on March 2nd, will roll down I-80 in southern Wyoming.
An itinerary posted to social media shows the convoy from Oregon will slow roll through Rawlins late in the morning and through the noon hour on Thursday, March 3rd. It is scheduled to continue to Laramie with a slow roll scheduled for early afternoon. A stop is scheduled for Cheyenne that afternoon before it rolls onto Nebraska.
Like the Freedom Convoy in Canada, the People’s Convoy is a grassroots rebellion. It represents the first organized, populist pushback against the Big Government/national health agency/Big Pharma cartel that has exerted unprecedented control over public life for two straight years through lockdowns, mandates and other health orders, all with dubious efficacy. Freedom of assembly, freedom of speech and individual liberties–core principles of American life—have been sacrificed in the process.
The east coast organizer of the convoy, Kyle Sefcik, said the first of the trucks will arrive in Washington by March 1st, in time for President Biden’s State of the Union Address. Sefcik said the participants come in peace and carry a simple message.
Convoy support groups have formed in various Wyoming counties, including Natrona and Fremont. They are collecting dry goods, baked goods, gear and safety items that might be needed for people making the trek to Washington in the name of Freedom.
