Wyoming Head Basketball Coach Sundance Wicks is keeping a surprise, to be unveiled before tonight’s matchup with San Diego State.

The Aztecs will likely play inside the Arena Auditorium for the final time Wednesday evening. They’re leaving the Mountain West to join the reconstituted PAC-12 Conference starting next season. The departure was formally confirmed after the university and four other Mountain West schools submitted their departure notifications by the June 1, 2025, deadline to avoid doubling their exit fees.

The Cowboys come into the matchup tonight 11-5 overall, 3-2 in conference play. The Aztecs, at 5-0, are undefeated in the Mountain West this season. Overeall, San Diego State is 11-4.

About the surprise, Coach Wicks will present it to San Diego State tonight, all he would say is, “I don’t want them to go empty-handed.”

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight. Bigfoot 99 will have the contest beginning with the pregame show at 5:30.
