The coaches across the 1A/2A basketball conference have cast their votes for the top players in the 2020-21 season.
All State Honors:
Encampment’s Dalton Peterson received All-State honors for the third time in his career.
Teegen Love of Saratoga earned his second All-State honors.
Also from Saratoga , Gavin Bartlett earned All-State honors this year.
All-Conference awards have also been announced. In the 1A southeast, three players make the list. Two are from H.E.M.: Devon Grosstick and and Ura Schmidt.
Bodie Herring of Southeast High School was voted Player of the Year.

The 1A All-conference awards for the boys continue with Gavin Bartlett, Grady Bartlett, Noah Rimmer and Teegan Love — all of Saratoga.

All-Conference 1A Girls/Southeast Quadrant:
Three players from H.E.M. made the list: Amy Campbell, Madison Campbell and Taylor Scoot.
Player of the Year: Amy Campbell of H.E.M.
Southeaset Quadrant Coach of the year: Jennifer Scheer, Southeast.
1A Girls Southwest Quadrant: Six players from Carbon County on the list:
Lizzi James from Encampment.
Skylynn Ready and Hannah Sixkiller from Little Snake River.
From Saratoga: Whitney Bennett, Tasia Daley and Savannah Wells.
The Player of the Year was Ighlee Thoren of Farson Eden.
Coach of the Year: Brian Teichert of Cokeville.
3A State tournament gets underway in Casper today. At high noon inside the Wyoming Ford Center, #1 out of the east quadrant, Rawlins, takes on Mountain View, #4 out of the West.
The winner of that one will move onto Semi-final action tonight, facing either Lyman or Buffalo.
The Wyoming Cowgirls are one game away from winning the Mountain West Championship. The Cowgirls knocked off Boise State 53-38 last night. Wyoming took control in the third quarter, outscoring the powerhouse Broncos 25-13.
Keith Kelly had the call Wyoming stretched the 3rd quarter lead to 13.
With the win, Wyoming ended the Broncos long streak of 14 straight Mountain West Tournament wins and four straight titles. In the post-game interview, Wyoming Assistant Head Coach Heather Ezell said the Cowgirls took their defensive play to the next level.
How incredible? Wyoming stuffed Boise State’s shooting game allowing just 28 percent from the field and forcing 23 turnovers. The Cowgirls advance. They’ll play #4 Fresno State for the Mountain West Championship tonight. An automatic bid to the NCAA tournament is on the line. The Bulldogs defeated #1 New Mexico 77-72. So get ready for Wyoming doubleheader today. The Cowgirls tip at 9 p.m. tonight on KBDY. Pregame show begins at 8:30.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys open the men’s Mountain West Tournament at noon today against San Jose State. It will be the first meeting between the schools, as the games in February were canceled.
Wyoming Head Coach Jeff Linder spoke about tonight’s matchup after Saturday’s win over UNLV.
Wyoming heads into the tournament with a 13-10 overall record. The Spartans are 5-15 overall record, but haven’t played since mid-February. It should be an interesting matchup. Tip at noon. Pregame show at 11:30 a.m. on Bigfoot 99.
