Wyoming fans enjoyed two hours of preseason football under the lights in Laramie Thursday night. The Cowboys scrimmaged as they prepare for the season opener against Akron in two weeks.
Head Coach Jay Sawvel was pleased with his team’s performance, saying that he was pleased with the attention to detail and intent his players showed.
Sophomore wide receiver Bricen Brantley put on one of the strongest performances of the evening. Brantley ran for a touchdown after catching d deep pass from quarterback Landon Sims.
Coach Sawvel said his team has to get better but the fundamentals to build on are there. Sawvel praised Brantley for his level of play in the scrimmage.
Wyoming will officially open the season on August 28 with a trip to Akron in a 5 p.m. MT start
