Synchronize your watches. The Wyoming Cowboys will play at the Republic of Boulder in Colorado on Saturday night and the time will make your head spin.

According to Learfield Sports Network, which originates the radio feed to affiliates around the Cowboy State, the broadcast will begin with the pregame show starting at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The Cowboys enter the game a 13-point underdog. Wyoming comes into the game 2-1 after a 31-6 loss to Utah inside War Memorial Stadium.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel was asked on Monday about the performance of quarterback Kaden Anderson against the Utes.

Anderson threw for 108 yards, going 12 of 23 with one interception. He was sacked twice and lost 22 yards while gaining only three with his feet.

Sawvel didn’t think Andersen was the problem in the loss.

Call it finesse.

Wyoming got into the Utah red zone just one time on Saturday night. The Pokes offense went 3-of-12 on third down attempts. Both of those stats will have to improve this week.

It’s been a week of self-examination in Laramie after the blowout loss to the Utes. One of the lessons learned is the need to take advantage of opportunities. Execution and a sense of urgency.

The offense needs to crank it up. According to ESPN, Wyoming returned 80% of its offensive production from a year ago. That squad ranked No. 4 in the nation out of 136 FBS programs.

So far, the Cowboys rank 95th in yards per game, 98th in passing and 74th in rushing. With lots of room for improvement, the Cowboys are looking to put together a more focused game Saturday night in Boulder.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 in a game that could run until close to midnight.
