Inside the Arena Auditorium for the first time since before Thanksgiving, the Wyoming Cowboys improved to 6-5 with a dominating 92-55 win over Bellarmine Knights.
Wyoming went wire to wire in the rout, putting up 52 points in the first half to 28 for the Knights. On the night, the Cowboys shot 65.5 percent from the field and hit a season-high 14 three pointers moving to 5-0 at home on the season.
Obi Agbim was on fire, playing for 29 minutes and 51 seconds. The senior from Aurora, Colorado shot a season-high 28 points and five rebounds. Agbim went 10-of-13 from the field and 8-of-10 from beyond the arc.
The Cowboys were in control from start to finish, shooting 75 percent from the field in the first half.
Head Coach Sundance Wicks praised the Wyoming effort, saying a good process produced good results.
Bellarmine shot 38.8 percent from the field and were held to five threes as they averaged over 10 per game. Wyoming held a 34-17 advantage on the glass.
The Cowboys close out non-conference action on Sunday with a trip to Cal State Fullerton.
