The Cowboys opened the Sundance Wicks era with a dominating 108-85 win over Concordia Saint Paul inside the Arena Auditorium on Monday night.

The Cowboys whipped up on the Golden Bears with a high-momentum pace all night long. Wyoming delivered one slam dunk after another—78 points in the paint compared to 28 by Concordia Saint Paul.

The Cowboy bench added 68 points. The Golden Bears had 28. Big numbers to start the new era under Wicks at 1-0.

Obi Agbim led all scorers with 25 points for Wyoming. Center Scottie Ebube added 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting.

Keith Kelly had the call as the Cowboys ran wild in the season opener.

Wyoming took an early 6-0 lead after the Golden Bears went scoreless for most of the first four minutes. The Cowboys went onto dominate the glass, building on their early lead.

First year head coach Wicks said his team had fun in the romp and the fans were caught up in the joy his players had on the court.

Wyoming will host Tennessee State on Sunday, November 10 at 2 p.m. inside the Arena-Auditorium.

The Cowgirls lost their season opener to Colorado 56-50 in the first game of the basketball doubleheader inside the Arena Auditorium.
