In sports, the words “fearless” and “physical” were spelled out on the chalkboard in the Wyoming locker room ahead of Saturday night’s game in San Diego.

The Cowboys came out on the losing side in the two-point 63-61 loss on the West Coast. Wyoming played strong and led by as many as nine points before they lost their focus.

Tonight, Wyoming opens a two-game homestand. First up is Utah State. The two teams met at the conference opener in December with the Aggies pulling out the 70-67 victory.

Utah State has been ranked in the top 25 this season. The Aggies come into tonight’s game with a 19-3 overall record and a 9-2 spot in conference play after falling to New Mexico 82-63 in a battle for first place in the conference.

Tonight’s game tips at 6:30. Pregame show starts at 6.
