The Wyoming Cowboys hammered UNLV from start to finish inside the Arena Auditorium with a 98-66 win.
The Cowboys returned to form, leading the Rebels by as much as 38 points in the dominating win at home.
With the win, Wyoming improves to 11-4 on the year, 2-2 in conference play. The win gave the Rebels their first conference loss of the season. Last night was the only time this season the two teams will face each other.
Wyoming Head Coach Sundance Wicks was happy with the intensity he saw in his team last night after the loss to New Mexico on Saturday.
The Cowboys looked strong from start to finish, shooting 55 percent and held the Runnin’ Rebels to 38 percent.
Leland Walker led the shooting, with a season-high 28 points. Guard Khaden Bennett added 13. Freshman Naz Meyer added 10.
The Pokes are on the road Saturday night with an 8 o’clock tip at Nevada.
