The Wyoming Cowboys remain at home this week to host the University of Utah. Both teams come into Saturday night’s contest with 2-0 records.
So far this season, the Utes are averaging 53 points and 505 yards per game after destroying Cal Poly and UCLA to start the year.
Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham comes to Laramie this season saying he wants to see more from his team against the Pokes. He knows the Cowboy fans inside the War won’t be welcoming.
Whittingham is continuing to look for improvements from his new starting quarterback, junior Devon Dampier. Specifically, Coach Whittingham is looking for more explosive pass plays from Dampier.
The Utes will face a Wyoming defense that is keeping opponents to a 20% conversion rate on third down.
Wyoming has allowed just seven points through the first two games after shutting out Akron on August 28. Utah has put up 106 points through their opening games of the season.
The test comes Saturday night inside the War. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Bigfoot 99 will be on the air at 4:30 with the 90-minute pregame show.
