Another big conference matchup is waiting for the Wyoming Cowboys tomorrow. Last Saturday, the Pokes took down Fresno State, then the 24th-ranked team in College Football.

The Cowboys are on the road tomorrow for only the second time this season in a matchup with Air Force in Colorado. The big Saturday game features two teams with a lot on the line. The Falcons are undefeated. They’re 5-and-0, including conference wins over Utah State, San Jose State and San Diego State.

Air Force quarterback Zac Larier told The Gazette in Colorado Springs that he liked the timing of last week’s bye for the Falcons. ““Get a little bit of rest and an extra week to attack the game plan against a tough Wyoming defense,” Larrier said.

Falcons Head Coach Troy Calhoun said his team and coaches took full advantage of the week preparing for this week’s matchup with Wyoming and for the long-term, too.

Maybe the Falcons weren’t paying that much attention to Wyoming.

Outside linebacker Bo Richter for the Falcons said he liked the bye. Richter described the Cowboys as “bruisers,” and said his body needed the rest.

The Falcons may be rested, but the Cowboys are in a groove and getting better with each game. Both Wyoming and Air Force are undefeated in conference play. Something is going to break tomorrow.

Wyoming Head Coach Craig Bohl said Air Force is a good football team, and so are the Cowboys.

Tomorrow’s game will go a long way to firming up the conference standings as the season begins to peak here in mid-October.  Undefeated Air Force holds an edge right now going into tomorrow’s game with home field advantage. The Cowboys head into the matchup riding a three game win streak.

Get ready for a lot of run plays tomorrow and play action passes. That’s pretty much M.O. of both teams. Both the Cowboys and the Falcons received AP Top-25 votes this past week, and the winner of tomorrow’s matchup likely breaks into the top 25.

Bigfoot 99 will have the game for you tomorrow beginning with the pregame show at 3:30.
