In the late game Saturday, the Wyoming men fell to San Jose State 67-58. The loss occurred on the West Coast in a contest where the shots would not fall for the Cowboys.

Leading the Mountain West in three-point shooting headed into the game, Wyoming was held to a season-low, 19 percent from behind the arc. San Jose State shot 44.2 percent from the field and hit six threes on the night at a 42.9 percent clip. The Spartans held a 43-41 advantage on the glass.

The always philosophical Head Coach Sundance Wicks kept it simple after the loss. “You can’t have everyone have their worst shooting night on the same night.”

Wicks broke down the math.

Scotty Ebube, the junior center from Mundelein, Illinois, led Wyoming with a career high 22 points.

Ebube went 11 of 14 from the field with four dunks. He got on the floor for the first time at the 12:33 mark in the first half, and made his presence known immediately.

Kevin McKinney and Keith Kelly had the call.

Wyoming returns home on Tuesday, hosting Fresno State in the Arena-Auditorium for a 6:30 p.m. start. We’ll have the game for you on Bigfoot 99.
