The Cowboys couldn’t get a stop defensively in Reno on Tuesday night as they fell to Nevada 84-61.

The Wolf Pack shot well throughout the game—53%–15 of 24 in the second half as they pulled away from Wyoming.

Kobe Newton, the senior guard from Portland, Oregon, put up 16 points in the loss. Newton shot four of four from the field, four of four from the arc and four of five from the free throw line.

Senior guard Obi Agbim added 11 points.

Wyoming got within seven points early in the second half but couldn’t find good shots and couldn’t make stops.

Cowboys Head Coach Sundance Wicks said his team didn’t show the toughness and resilience they needed to stay in the game.

The Cowboys will host San Diego State at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Arena-Auditorium, which will be the final home game of the season.
