The Air Force Falcons won the opening round of the Mountain West Tournament Sunday, beating Utah State 66-59.
Up by 12 at the start the fourth quarter, the Falcons held on for the win, setting up tonight’s matchup with Wyoming.
The Cowgirls open postseason play with a 6 pm tip in the Quarterfinals of the Mountain West Championship.
Wyoming comes into the matchup as a Number-Two Seed tonight. Air Force is seeded seventh in the tournament.
Wyoming swept the series this season against Air Force with a 62-50 win on January 22 and 54-56 on February 12. The Cowgirls now lead the all-time series, 62-4.
