The Wyoming Cowgirls return to action in postseason play tonight against Texas Tech inside the Arena Auditorium.
The Cowgirls will be seeking revenge for their three-overtime defeat in the Mountain West Championship game a week ago against San Diego State.
With their 72-68 win, over Wyoming in the conference title game, the Aztecs moved onto the NCAA tournament.
The Cowgirls accepted the bid on Sunday to the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament.
The two teams played five common opponents this season.
The Red Raiders (17-17) defeated New Mexico, Gonzaga and Missouri State during non-conference play and beat BYU and split two games with Colorado in the Big 12. The Cowgirls (22-11) went 1-5 against those teams. However, UW is 11-2 at home while Texas Tech is 2-9 on the road this season.
The Cowgirls enter tonight’s game as the No. 4 seed. Tip is set for 6:30 p.m.
Bigfoot 99 will have the game starting with the pregame show at 6:00.
