On the girls side of the ledger, two Lady Outlaws earned all conference honors: McKenzie Earl and Brooke Palmer.

ESPN didn’t carry the live feed Monday night from Laramie. So the nation missed the reaction from the Wyoming Cowgirls when their bracket was announced.
That was one of the best reactions of any team, but the network did not carry it. They went with a graphic instead. The Cowgirls were watching from chairs placed on the floor of the basketball court inside the AA.
That was Quinn Weidemann talking to reporters last week after the Cowgirls upset Fresno State with a three-point win to clinch the program’s first-ever Mountain West Title. The team is still on a high this week. Wyoming will take on third seed UCLA Monday night in San Antonio. The last time Wyoming and UCLA met in the NCAA Tournament was on the men’s side back in 1987. Fennis Dembo scored 41 points to lift the No. 12 Pokes over the fourth-seeded Bruins, 78-68. The Cowgirls enter Monday’s night matchup as a 14-th seed against the third seed Bruins.
