The Rawlins Outlaws lost by one point to Torrington in overtime Wednesday. The final score was 58-57 in the home loss for the Outlaws.

Head Coach Denver Allard said his boys came out with an early lead, but were stopped by the Blazer’s star player. Still, the game went down to the wire.

Coach Allard said the boys could have done a better job with shooting the ball and avoiding fouls.

The loss to Torrington dropped the Outlaws regional tournament seed to 4th. Today’s game will see Torrington play Moorecroft and the Outlaws go against Buffalo. Despite not winning, Coach Allard said he was proud of how hard the team played. He said Buffalo should be an easy opponent.

Coach Allard said his team had a poor start to their season, but fought back hard. With the win-loss counter reset for the tournament, Coach Allard said he thinks his team will be able to apply what they learned from yesterday’s defeat to future games.

Only seven other teams stand between the Rawlins Outlaws and their ticket to the state tournament in Casper.
