The Wyoming Cowboys start the 2025 football season tonight in Ohio against the Zips from the University of Akron.
Kick is set for 5 p.m. here on Bigfoot 99.
The Cowboys are coming off a 3-and-9 season. Akron closed out 2024 with a record of 4-and-8.
For the Zips, quarterback Ben Findley recorded 16 touchdowns last year. The Akron offensive line has been described as shaky. Akron Head coach Joe Moorhead starts his fifth season with an 8-28 record. Moorehead talked this week about his QB.
The Wyoming Cowboys are 5-and-1 in their last six contests against Mid- American conference teams. The Cowboys return four offensive starters to the line. Quarterback Kaden Anderson, who won the job last year, will lead the team tonight.
Coach Moorehead sized up the Cowboys this way earlier this week.
Wyoming Head coach Jay Sawvel is looking to improve on his three-win debut last year.
