The University of Wyoming women’s basketball team fell to 4-5 with a 62-50 road loss to Missouri State on Friday night in Springfield, Missouri.
After falling behind 18 early in the fourth quarter, the Cowgirls put together a 12-0 run to get back to within six. But six turnovers in the final period halted UW’s comeback hopes, as the Lions ended the game on a 6-0 run.
Forward Allyson Fertig earned another double-double with a team-high 15 points and 10 rebounds. Guards Emily Mellema and Tess Barnes chipped in 11 points apiece.
