Wyoming improved to 5-and-1 Sunday with a 75-67 home win over Norfolk State Sunday afternoon.

The Cowboys controlled the first half, leading by 16 at the break.

Keith Kelley and Kevin McKinney had the call as Wyoming’s lead proved too much for the Spartans, who battled back down the stretch. Still, Norfolk moved as close to six points.

Cowboys head coach Sundance Wicks expressed frustration and how he challenged his players.

The Cowboys face Denver University on Wednesday evening. The Pioneers defeated Colorado State by a bucket, 83-81, on Friday night.
