The Wyoming Cowboy football team will try to scratch out a five-win season in their finale on Saturday night in Hawaii.

The Rainbow Warriors are bowl eligible with an overall 7-4 record with a Mountain West Conference record of 4-3.

Wyoming is 4-7 overall, 2-5 in conference play. The Cowboys are spending the week looking for its identity following Saturday’s loss to Nevada 13-7 as time ran out on the Cowboys on the Wolfpack’s goal line.

The loss occurred on an otherwise upbeat day in Laramie with Josh Allen’s number 17 jersey retired—the first in Wyoming history for such an honor.

Coach Jay Sawvel did not try to sugar-coat the season when he talked to reporters while prepping his team after the disappointing loss. One of  1the questions is whether former Gillette, Wyoming quarterback Mason Drube will get the start against Hawaii.

Kickoff is set 9 p.m. Saturday in a game that likely will go past midnight. Bigfoot 99 will have the pregame show starting at 7:30.
