The Wyoming Cowboys have been defending the Dome. The UW basketball team is undefeated at home to start the year. The 8-2 Cowboys will wrap up non-conference play on the road tonight at Sioux Falls against South Dakota State.
Tonight’s game will be played in Sioux Falls at the Sanford Pentagon which opened off the South Dakota State campus in 2013. It has been a popular site for NCAA basketball tournament games since 2014.
Don’t tell Cowboys Head Coach Sundance Wicks that the Pentagon in Sioux Falls is a neutral site. Wicks was unhappy with the 25 fouls called on Wyoming on Tuesday in a 106-79 win over South Dakota University.
Wyoming lost on the road to the Jackrabbits last year 82-81.
The Pokes head into the contest leading the Mountain West. The Pokes are ranked 36 in the nation averaging 88 points per game. UW has scored 90 or more points in three of the last four games.
The Jackrabbits are 7-5 on the season and have won three of their last four games.
Wyoming is led in scoring by Leland Walker at 14.1 points per game. Naz Meyer added 12.3. The freshman from Los Angeles is proving to be a breakout guard for Wyoming.
Tip is set for tonight at 6 p.m. Bigfoot 99 will be on the air with the pregame show at 5:30. Kevin Kelley and Kevin McKinney will have the latest on the Cowboys headed into the matchup.
