The Wyoming Cowgirls overpowered Air Force during the second half in Laramie last night. The ladies came away with a 64-56 win inside the Arena Auditorium.
The Cowgirls’ dynamic duo—Allyson Fertig and Malene Peterson—combined for 50 points in the win. Fertig put up 30, Peterson 20.
The game was tied at 19 at the end of the first quarter. Wyoming went on a 17-2 run to end the half and held the lead the rest of the way for the win.
The Cowgirls, now 8-and-3 in conference play and holding down third place, will remain home Saturday for their second consecutive game inside the AA. Wyoming welcomes San Jose State for a 2 p.m., tip-off.
