Wyoming quarterback Andrew Peasley was named the Offensive Player of the Week in the Mountain West Conference for the way he led the Cowboys to Saturday night’s 24-19 win over Fresno State.

This marks the second time that Peasley has earned the award as a Cowboy and his third overall. Peasley was recognized after Wyoming’s 37-40 double-overtime win over Tulsa last year.

In last year’s barnburner game against Tulsa, Peasley threw for 256 yards, connecting on 20 of 30 passes. John Hoyland kicked a 30-yard field goal to seal the win in a wild contest at War Memorial Stadium.

In Saturday’s win over Fresno State, Peasley tied a career-high with three touchdown passes.

Peasley enjoyed a big night at the War, finishing 19-of-27, completing 70 percent of his passes.

In his last two games, Peasley has completed 35-of-52 passes for 67 percent and four touchdowns.

He also garnered the conference honor in his time at Utah State in a win over New Mexico.

Wyoming’s win this past Saturday over top-25-ranked Fresno State aired in prime-time nationwide. Here’s how Bulldogs head coach Jeff Tedford summed up the loss during Monday’s news conference.

This is the second week in a row that their audio sucked. I should go get a job with them. Oh wait, I’d have to live in Cali. No thanks. I’m good.

Wyoming is now ranked #2 in the Mountain West Conference. Saturday night’s matchup with first-place Air Force will be a mid-October classic. The Falcons are 3-and-0 in conference play, 5-and-0 overall.

The Las Vegas oddsmakers have Wyoming listed as a 10.5 point underdog. The over/under is 42. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Saturday. We’ll roll at here at Bigfoot 99 with the pregame show at 3:30.
