Wyoming will face a Boise State team on Saturday afternoon that is coming off a heart-crushing loss to CSU. The Broncos blew a 20-point lead to the Rams in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter and were finished off by Hail Mary pass to the end zone as time ran out with the score 31-30.

Boise State head coach Andy Avalos talked with the media after the stunning loss.

The Rams went deep into end zone for the miracle finish at Canvas Stadium.

The extra point sailed through the uprights for the extra point and the Rams came away with their first ever win over Boise State.

Now in late October, it’s do-or-die time for the Broncos. They must win three of their next five games to be bowl eligible.

To be bowl-eligible for post-season play, Boise State must win three games including at least one against the three top teams in the Mountain West. Their gauntlet begins Saturday against Wyoming.

The Broncos had last week off, just like the Cowboys. Coach Avalos said last week was time for reflection and taking stock.

That’s coach talk for saying that that the Broncos spent a lot of time studying the Cowboys and how they’ll employ their two-quarterback offense against the Wyoming defense on Saturday in front of a home crowd.

Wyoming and Boise State are both 2-and-1 in conference play and looking to keep their edge against Air Force which is undefeated.

Wyoming is off to one of its best starts ever under Head Coach Craig Bohl. This is the third time in the Bohl era that Wyoming is off to a 5-and-2 start. To make it 6-and 2, they have to find a way to stop the Boise State offense.

Genty is averaging 124 rushing yards and 57 passing yards per game this season.

Boise State is a triple-headed monster. The Cowboys are looking for their first-ever win in Boise.  News on the status of running back Harrison Waylee and his swollen right knee has been like reading tea leaves this week. One report said the Northern Illinois transfer felt like he could have played against Air Force. We’ll see what Coach Bohl says tonight on his radio show at 7 pm here on KTGA.

Bigfoot 99 will have the big game Saturday afternoon beginning with the pregame show at 2.
