The newly revived Medicine Bow Recreation Board is planning a car show this summer.

On Saturday, July 27th, the Medicine Bow Recreation Board is hosting the first annual Mild to Wild Car Show.

Rec board member Casey Federer said she and her fiancé, Charles Hall, came up with the idea to sponsor a car show. Federer said the name, Mild to Wild, was Hall’s idea.

Federer said the Mild to Wild car show will be divided into five different classes: Antique and Classic for cars built before 1975, Muscle and Street Rods, an open Street Cruiser class, Motorcycles, and Trucks. Federer said the Motorcycle and Truck classes leave room for other types of vehicles.

The winner of each class will receive a plaque. An overall Best in Show trophy will be awarded to the people’s choice winner. Federer said the Medicine Bow Rec Board isn’t able to offer cash prizes for this year’s event.

Federer and the other rec board members are trying to spread the word about the Mild to Wild car show. Federer said the rec board members will distribute flyers around the area.

While attending the event is free, showing a car isn’t. Display fees depend on when you register. Federer said the event flyer contains all the pricing information.

Federer said Mild to Wild car show branded shirts will be available to purchase during the event. The rec board member said the custom embroidered shirts were created by Cowboy Couture, in Saratoga.

Money raised from the car show will help pay for future Medicine Bow Recreation Board events, such as the Halloween haunted house. Federer said the rec board is already planning a bigger and better October event.

The first annual Medicine Bow Recreation Board Mild to Wild car show will be on Saturday, July 27th, at the Medicine Bow Town Park, located on Cottonwood Street. Registration instructions and pricing can be found on the Mild to Wild car show flyer. A copy of the flyer will be included with this story when it is posted to Bigfoot99.com later today.
