Rawlins resident pleads for help in finding missing grandson
A 14-year-old Rawlins boy hasn’t been seen or heard from since he slipped out of a window of the Carbon County Youth Crisis Center last month.
Desperate to find him, his grandmother is asking for the public’s help. Cali O’Hare reports.

Healthcare in the spotlight in Saratoga tonight
Tonight’s Saratoga Town Council meeting will address the hot-button issue of healthcare in the Platte Valley.
On the agenda are several local residents as well as the reading of correspondence between the town and Health Management Services, the company operating both the medical clinic and the nursing home.
A large turnout is expected for the 6 o’clock meeting. Emma Diercks previews the issues at stake.
Community outreach meeting in Rawlins
For the first time since its founding in 2017, the Carbon County Alliance for Drug Endangered Children is inviting the public to join the conversation. The group will hold a community outreach meeting.
The event will provide information on how to identify a drug-endangered child and how to make a report to the proper agency. Cali O’Hare has more.
Weather impacts possible over mountain passes
WYDOT crews worked through the weekend to open up Wyoming 70 over Battle Pass Monday. The gates were unlocked before noon yesterday. Now both high-elevation scenic byways in Carbon County are open for the season.
Wyoming 130 opened over the Memorial Day Weekend. WYO 130 tops out at more than 10,800 feet, and WYO 70 crosses the Continental Divide at the 9,955-foot Battle Pass.
Travelers over the two mountain ranges are advised that road conditions are wet and the weather turns cold at night. All vehicles, especially motorcycles and bicycles, should watch for patches ice. WYDOT said in a release yesterday that weather-related closures are still possible as the snowpack continues to melt.
Sports: Outlaw basketball gets early start
The Rawlins boys basketball team camped early as they made the trip to Casper over the weekend. Joey Saverine has the story.
