Death toll reaches 98 on Wyoming highways

A Rawlins woman is the sole survivor of a head-on collision that occurred Sunday evening on Highway 287 between Rawlins and Muddy Gap.

Cali O’Hare spoke with the Wyoming Highway Patrol about the crash that killed two others.

 

 

BLM seeking input on Shirley Basin mining

Carbon County Commissioners have compiled comments to be submitted to the Bureau of Land Management about a proposed in-situ uranium mining in the Shirley Basin.

A county conditional use permit for the project is expected to be submitted later this year. Emma Diercks reports.

New advisory board to review RV parking in Rawlins

In Rawlins: City Council rejected a proposed recreational vehicle parking ordinance on Tuesday, but the controversial issue isn’t going away.

A follow-up motion established an advisory board that will explore possible solutions to the on-street parking woes in the city. Cali O’Hare has the story.

County-wide 911 dispatch conversation continues

The Saratoga Town Council on Tuesday continued talks with the police department about joining a county-wide collaborative 911 dispatch system Tuesday evening.

One company, Motorola Solutions, suggested an option that would allow Saratoga to retain its own call center. Emma Diercks reports.
