During Tuesday’s regular meeting, the commissioners announced they will appeal the state’s decision to require the installation of a costly fire suppression system at the Medicine Bow Complex.

The reason for the appeal? The state had already granted Carbon County’s permit, and the structure was previously bid out to include a roughly $20,000 sprinkler system, versus the $50,000 system the state now says it needs to have. Cali O’Hare reports.
