The free ride is over. Classic Air Ambulance memberships through the South Central Wyoming EMS expired on October 1st. Legislation passed in 2019 is the reason the service was curtailed.

The SCWEMS Joint Powers Board was using impact assistance funds from energy programs in the county to pay for the program. Now the board is exploring other ways to spend the money while also improving service for those in the SCWEMS district. Emma Diercks has the story.
