The thinning of the urban mule deer herd in Rawlins under a Chapter 56 permit is on track to begin next month. As the Rawlins Urban Deer Advisory Group gears up to remove up to 40 deer from the herd, it reviewed the number of human–deer interactions in the city from calls received by the police department.
