Commissioner clarifies hospital support

Last month the Carbon County Commissioners signed a letter of support for a proposed critical access hospital in Saratoga.

On Tuesday, Commissioner Sue Jones told Memorial Hospital of Carbon County the letter does not speak to the healthcare services they provide to the county. Emma Diercks has the story.

Cull takes CWD deer out of urban population

In Rawlins: the results from the effort to thin the urban mule deer herd were presented to the City Council Tuesday night. Officials reported that 25, including does and juvenile males, were culled from the herd during three nights in November.

Most of the meat was processed into hamburger and given to Rawlins residents. However, several of the animals tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease. They were destroyed. Cali O’Hare reports.

Saratoga addresses snow removal concerns

The Saratoga Town Council this week discussed snow removal and how parked vehicles can impede efforts to clear streets.

A complaint received at Town Hall sparked the debate. The governing body, however, determined that no amendments to town ordinances are needed help assist in enforcement at this time. Emma Diercks has the story.

Commissioners award contracts for Medicine Bow Complex

The Carbon County Commissioners on Tuesday awarded three contracts totaling $1.25 million to a local construction company to build the Medicine Bow Complex. Cali O’Hare reports.
